On national highways and major roads across Australia, people gathered in public places with banners and colourful signs to send a vital message to our government and to all passers by, that #WaterIsLife.

This year’s National protest spread across the highways and roads of every Territory and State, as we collectively draw attention to the huge risks that mining and extractive fossil fuel industry practices are putting on our precious life source.

Grave concern around Adani’s dangerous Charmicheal coal mine, the damming of Urannah, and threats of coal seam gas in the region, saw the relatively small but energetic crew take to the corner of the Bruce Highway just north of Proserpine.
